I’m Manuel Herrera, but I create under the name allo. I’m an Emmy-winning artist, designer, and storyteller who’s spent my career turning ideas into experiences — from award-winning design and public art to paintings that live in collections around the world.

I started out with one foot in engineering and the other in art, and that mix of precision and creativity has shaped everything I do. Over the years, I’ve seen how art and technology together can unlock curiosity in ways nothing else can.

That’s why I created Plaibooks — to merge art, history, and emerging technology into hands-on, TEKS-aligned learning tools that spark creativity and give students the skills to invent their own future.
